This blog is named for the mythic thread that Ariadne gave to Theseus when he entered the famous labyrinth at Knossos on the island of Crete to fight the Minotaur. Theseus tied one end of the thread to the entrance of the labyrinth so that he could find his way out after slaying the beast confined inside. Seeking Ariadne’s Thread will look at the creative process behind puzzles by speaking with the designers and craftsmen that make them.
